On July 29, 2023, Tianjin University of Technology successfully held the Inaugural Meeting of the Young Alumni Entrepreneur Alliance and the Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum. Vice President Liu Yi of Tianjin University of Technology attended and delivered a speech. More than 200 people participated in the event, including representatives from the Federation of Industry and Commerce of Nankai District, Tianjin; the Tianjin Jinshang Federation; the Tianjin Youth Chamber of Commerce; the Tianjin University Alumni Association for Science and Technology-Economy Integration; heads of relevant departments and colleges of the university; representatives of young alumni entrepreneurs; expert consultants from inside and outside the university; and representatives from investment institutions. The meeting adopted the alliance’s articles of association and elected the first-term Presidium and members of the Secretariat. Fu Haobo, General Manager of Qinhuangdao Yaohua Equipment Group Co., Ltd., attended the meeting and was elected as the Chairman of the first-term Presidium.
On the forum, representatives from young alumni entrepreneurs, faculty members, and current student entrepreneurs shared their insights and experiences under the theme of “Empowering Young Alumni, Supporting Young Students, and Contributing to the Development of Our Alma Mater.” To support local economic development and help young alumni entrepreneurs within the alliance better understand the construction progress of Tiankai Park as well as its investment promotion policies, the alumni entrepreneurs visited and inspected both the Nankai Core Zone and the West Expansion Zone of Tiankai Higher Education Science and Technology Park. They also took the opportunity to learn about the relevant procedures and requirements for setting up operations in Tiankai Park. As they stepped into Tiankai Higher Education Science and Technology Park, the participants listened to briefings, toured the site, and discussed potential collaborations, fully experiencing the park’s vigorous growth momentum.
Alumni entrepreneurs also held themed salon sessions focusing on three areas: “New Media,” “Financial Investment,” and “Technological Innovation.” All participants unanimously agreed that the establishment of the Tianjin University of Technology Young Alumni Entrepreneurs Alliance has provided a solid platform for collaboration and exchange between young alumni entrepreneurs and budding young entrepreneurs, fostering the thriving development of the university’s innovation and entrepreneurship culture. This alliance will inspire more young students to dare to take risks, be creative, and boldly pursue their dreams, thereby contributing their youthful energy to the comprehensive construction of a modern socialist country.
